We wanted to have one last outing with our Gina’s Place employees. Since the fire marshall said the kitchen ceiling had to come down (a whole ‘nother story for another day), we decided to make a day trip to a nearby mountain village.
We loaded up the bus and headed out of town.
Ever wonder what a road trip with the Etter’s looks like?
Lots and lots of music. Praise, show tunes, hymns. Whatever pops into their minds.
At the dam…
After climbing the hill, we have a wonderful view of the city.
The best part of climbing up so high is the amazing swing at the top.
Rice planting time makes a great time for walking through the fields.
Of course, what’s an outing without food? Our workers prepared meat kabobs and we ate along the river. The temperature kept dropping and dropping. We were all excited when the fire grills were finally lit at the tables.
Yes, it was cold!
The food was amazing. Lamb, pork, beef, chicken, fish.
And after the meal, a little group singing.
It was a great time spent with really special people. We are really blessed by the people in our lives, both old friends and new.
We’ll miss you while we’re gone!
